New Ducati V2 Engine

At the heart of the Ducati DesertX is the all-new 890 cc Ducati V2 engine. This is the lightest four-valve twin-cylinder engine Ducati has ever developed.

Delivering 110 hp and 92 Nm of torque, the DesertX provides powerful performance while maintaining exceptionally smooth and controllable power delivery. Thanks to variable valve timing, 70% of peak torque is already available from just 3,000 rpm. This ensures strong low-end pulling power and instant throttle response, both on the road and in technical terrain.

The first four gears are intentionally short for maximum control off-road, while the longer sixth gear keeps highway cruising smooth and comfortable.

Maintenance costs remain low as well, thanks to generous 15,000-kilometer service intervals and valve clearance checks required only every 45,000 kilometers.

Built for Adventure

The DesertX is designed to effortlessly switch between asphalt and off-road terrain. The new monocoque frame provides a stiffer, more compact, and lightweight chassis that inspires complete confidence—both at high speeds and on technical terrain. Fully adjustable KYB suspension, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoked wheels, and standard Pirelli Scorpion Rally Street tires deliver ultimate control under all conditions. For maximum stopping power, the DesertX comes equipped with radial Brembo M4.32 calipers and dual 305 mm brake discs.

Comfortable on the Road, Capable Off the Beaten Track

The ergonomics of the Ducati DesertX are tailored for long days in the saddle as well as active off-road riding. The wide handlebars, narrow fuel tank, and optimal positioning of the seat and footpegs offer great freedom of movement when standing on the pegs. At the same time, the comfortable riding position provides plenty of support during long tours. The new 18-liter fuel tank is slimmer, lighter, and features integrated crash pads. Thanks to the high front fender, the bike maintains peak performance even in mud and sand.
